I have tried to explain it to her before that its all a scam, the men she is talking to are not real, its all fake. She stops talking to one and then starts talking to another who tells the SAME STORY! They claim to have some fancy ass engineering title and are out of the country in egypt or africa building roads or something and wont be back in the states for several months. Then, it comes up that they need 3-500 dollars to buy food because they are going hungry and don’t get payment on their 1 million dollar contract untill the job is done. She sent this money to the first one. He stopped asking for awhile and then said he was coming to see her.. oh but wait, the day he was driving to the airport he got in a car accident and cant come see her now and needs a few thousand dollars for a back surgery. AND SOMETHING ALWAYS HAPPENS that prevents them from coming to see her. I keep telling her STOP TALKING TO THEM THAT MAN IS NOT REAL IT IS A SCAM!!! but she wont get it through her head!!! And their pictures all look fake but shes older she cant tell, she even talks to them on the phone!!! they gave airline reservation number or something, i don’t know cause i don’t fly, and she called and found out he cancelled it before he claimed to be in an accident… AND SHE STILL DOESNT GET IT! How do i help my 72 year old grandma!!!! Shes a smart lady and is in college and gets paid big $$ for what she does, but just doesn’t get that these men are not real and it is all a scam and these worthless nigerians sit in a room full of computers trying to scam americans all day every day.
and shes always telling me, “i like him, he tells me he loves me but hes always asking me for money”
i tell her to avoid all this by just not talking to anyone about her money but shes like, “I’m a christian woman, if they ask im not going to lie.”
