I’m sure not all of them do.

    Thanks for the 2 points.

I don’t think God answers questions in this forum.

Get back to your desk before HR hears about this.

I don’t think it’s America. Tons of people in the US do not work in offices. It’s just the the “blogosphere” has a seriously skewed view of what reality is (they’re isolated from jobs like the ones you describe, unless they’re good writers. They usually aren’t). Blame the blogging/online community for being classist.

  5. Planet Earth is a Madhouse says:

Not. A. Clue. Hope you feel better after venting, though.

  6. DOOMED! We're all doomed! says:

Understanding in R&S? You’re in for a rude awakening, pal.

I suppose it’s because people in offices are more likely to spend time dawdling on the internet.

I agree with you completely so many people are conformists and don’t think outside the box.
America is a very superficial materialistic place its a shame.

I guess their assuming that those are the jobs that most people WANT to have. In other words, like most people don’t work at offices, but the assumption is that many people, especially young people, who are working at entry-level jobs are wanting to work at an office setting, and so they enjoy reading these articles, because they show you, what a person is supposed to do when they eventually get to work there.

    Hope that made sense.

Um, good question, I’ve never actually worked an office job, unless maybe working part time from my home office counts. Maybe just because non-office jobs are too diverse to write quick tips articles. I’m having trouble even finding what percentage of people actually work at office jobs.

I mean you can find tips on other types of jobs if you look, they’re just not as common on major sites.

P.S. R&S is largely bored Christians and Atheists bickering with each other, I don’t know about understanding.

It does make it hard for job hunting, but many Americans (I’m American BTW) still think food comes from the grocery store.

I tried looking for info on how to grow a business and the stuff I found was how to go from 50 employees to 100. I told them there are 2 of us, my son and I. When told that wasn’t considered a small business, I answered that it’s nearly paid off my house, so what is called?

I still get hit with ads to buy magazines and take out business credit cards. The whole thing seems like a marketing ploy for sales businesses to expand rather than truly help anyone. Good luck in your job whatever it is.

Thank you for asking me personally. America is in decline and in view of all that America is going through your question is low on the priorities list. But, keep asking and thank you for 2 points
