The Dems are right about this, but they’re going about it completely the wrong way.
I believe Whole Foods CEO John Mackey nails it:
-  Equalize the tax laws so that that employer-provided health insurance and individually owned health insurance have the same tax benefits
- Repeal government mandates regarding what insurance companies must cover.
- Enact tort reform to end the ruinous lawsuits that force doctors to pay insurance costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
- Make costs transparent so that consumers understand what health-care treatments cost.
- Revise tax forms to make it easier for individuals to make a voluntary, tax-deductible donation to help the millions of people who have no insurance and aren’t covered by Medicare, Medicaid or the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Mackey has a lot of good ideas in that essay. Progressive liberals hate it, though, because they’re against anything that gives responsibility to the individual rather than the state.
Those things are some of what is needed . And what they have may not be the best we need to tell them .And the Republicans as well . stop their stupid bickering and get down to fixing something correctly for a change. I consider Myself Progressive and I dont hate that . You make statements out of the air. Perhaps more real communication instead of screaming commie B.S might work.
