13 Responses to “Why is it the Democrats who are genuinely cutting spending in meaningful ways instead of the “fiscal cons”?”

  1. zaza 1ST GRANDCHILD 2/2010!!! says:

Is this a serious question? Really?? lol

  2. CaptainFreon says:

so, where does the spendulus bill fit into all of this with 9000 earmarks made in back room deals and for political rewards? One of which was Pelosi’s back room salt mouse deal to the tune of 30 million bucks. what would you do with 30 million bucks? I would retire!

Added: 40% of the PORK in that spendulus bill was republican. Bi partisan greed. So, the majority still belongs to the dems.

  3. Maxwell says:

the conservatives aren’t in a position of power to do anything

the dems are trying to free up funds to pay for the over priced health care bill.

of course they’ve already tripled the last record for deficit spending…real fiscal…FAIL

  4. asylum31 says:

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Oh, wait, you’re serious?

Obama’s spending. Unless I’m mistaken and he’s not a Democrat.

  5. Snowman says:

Democrats always enjoy telling someone else they get paid too much.

Seems to me your sources verify that.

Yet these clowns sit on 6+ figure salaries and own more than one home. How much did Ted Kennedy pay in inheritance tax? ZERO! This is the same clown who was the primary proponent for RAISING the inheritance tax.

Guess the old adage holds true – “actions speak louder than words”.

“Do as I say, not as I do”

Here’s part of the real cheese:

  6. Thomas D says:

When they cut the $1,400,000,000.00 they overspent this fiscal year than I will take this as a real argument.

  7. Willis Jeffords says:

Hillarious. 10% salary cuts and anti-business taxes are considered cutting spending.

Here’s a clue: in a year with a $1.8 Trillion deficit, NO DEMOCRAT is doing nearly enough.

  8. rosemarie says:

    Not a question at all.

  9. Obastro says:

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT AFTER THE TRILLIONS OBAMA HAS SPENT?

Yes, I did mean to yell.

  10. ohbrother says:

The only one you list is the Governor. The other two are the private sector. They don’t affect our taxes. The banks have almost paid back the bailouts. They have over stepped their Constitutional authority.

  11. Chairman Obama says:

Obama has managed to triple the deficit in his first nine months. In other words his first year deficit is 3 times larger than George Bush’s worst year.

The Congressional Budget Office in looking at his latest budget concluded Obama would double the national debt in just 5 years and triple it in 10 years.

The proposed health care plan will cost more than a trillion dollars over the first ten years.
Last week Obama attempted to add 250 billion dollars to the deficit by compensating Doctors for the cuts in reinbursements from the Health Care reform bill.
Of course that wouldn’t count as part of the bill.

The current proposal also plans to collect new taxes to pay for health care for years before the plan ever starts making the first ten years look budget neutral while creating a monster plan after ten years we will nevver be able to afford.

Finally Obama’s people say they will help pay for health care reform with 500 billion in cuts to medicare for seniors. If he truly believes there is that much wast why doesn’t he show us by cutting that waste now?

Obama is the furthest thing possible from fiscal responsibility,

It is an insult to drunken sailors to say he spends like one of them

  12. Lilly T says:

It took 200 years for this country to reach a 10 trillion dollar deficit. Obama has put forth the measures to double it in his Presidency.

    Get off the drugs. Really.

  13. Humphrey says:

You are so right and I totally agree with you on this debate. Plus, don’t forget to mention that while Republicans are saying “Obama this and Obama that” Do you really know why this economy is screwed up right now? Do they really want to know? I dont’ think they’re ready for the real answer. Shall I tell them? Shall I tell them? What do you think? Yeah, I think it’s about to time to let them know the truth. The real reason why the economy is messed up and will always be until the change happens by lowering these damn gas prices. Yes, that’s the real answer. When gas prices stay up people get kicked out of their homes because they have to compensate for rent because of gas to go to work and then they can’t make their payments on time so “Damn! There goes the house and the car.” I have a car but I don’t even drive it anymore I catch the city bus and go to school and walk to Wal-Mart to buy my groceries I live right across the street from Wal-Mart. Yeah, I have a car that just sits and that’s how I save my money because of the high gas prices and I currently have no debt ever since I did this. However, for most americans it’s a fight financially to pay their other bills and still have to pay huge gas prices when they fill up their gas tanks. It’s a shame that Shell, B.P., Chevron, Speedway, and so many other gas stations and oil companies along with them are the cause of so many unemployed, lost their homes, lost their cars because the oil companies jacked up gas prices for every American and as long as the gas prices stay up. Republicans and Democrats will always be arguing with each other instead of the real root of the problem and that’s the oil and gas companies. Because they caused the economic trickle snowball effect down the hill problem of America today.
