So I met a muslim guy online and he wanted someone to teach him how to speak english because he’s new to canada. He’s 19 years old and I’m 23. He comes from a very wealthy family. I’m agnostic/christian and he is muslim. When we hang out, we sneak around because he doesn’t want anyone in his community to see him walking around with a girl. He told me he wishes to be married and is looking for a wife and tried to flirt with me several times. HE is extremely religious, he doesn’t drink alcohol or eat pork and has never had a girlfriend before. Do you think I have a chance of marrying him? I do not know much about muslim culture. He is 5″5 and 150 pounds, I’m 5″3 and about 182 pounds (obese) and I think it is hard for me to find a man who will choose to date me when he can find girls that are better looking than me. I believe in his culture men get married a young age, and most of the time it’s arranged. We hung out for 4 hours today and he told me there were so many girls who wanted to marry him because his father makes millions of dollars a year.

He is not allowed to date you(it’s not allowed in islam) Nor marry you since you are agnostic
i am not a muslim but i can say you that, muslims are religious minded…. and i dont think they let you both marry

Well he can marry you if you are Christian, but not agnostic. Muslims can only marry Muslims or People of the Book (Christians and Jews).
Well it is allowed in Islam for a man to marry a non muslim woman. Will it be easy, most likely no. However is any marriage a walk in the park no. It is a constant struggle and partnership. I would advise to learn more about Islam and Arab culture assuming he is an Arab. You should know your rights over him and his rights over you.
Actually you will find many muslim men marry in their 30′s because many are working on their education to be able to give their kids and future wife the best he can.

Okay well to start out im gonna say just cuz he doesnt drink and eat pork that doesnt make him o so religous first off dating is off limits when you marry your only supposed to marry other musliums so i mean its NOT okay to date a muslium but its really not okay to date a christian nor marry one now if u want you can convert but it has to be for god not for him and still i dont think you are allowed to marry him cuz i think you would have had to converted before hand but maaybe he can convert you and maybe you can find another muslium guy that you like but remember convert for god and make sure your not doing it for his parents money its his parents not his and LOVE is all that counts but you should REALLY talk to him about all of this and tell him how you feel and if your welling to convert tell him but if that doesnt work out remember friend is always good

Sounds suspect. Can’t help thinking he may be wanting immigration papers. The EXTREMELY religious are not going to marry an “infidel” w/o furthering ulterior motives. If family is really so rich, they’ve got plans for that man’s future & the wife that will represent the good wisdom of a true Muslin. I’d think differently if this was a hot love affair for years & he displayed the potential for religious tolerance by proudly keeping your company. But internet, ooh. Stick to the language lessons & if he tries more marital enticement w/ his father’s money, tell him you’ll be glad to accept payment for lessons.
since i am a muslim i will tell u in islam we are not allowed to date cause it is not allowed he can only marry you if you become a muslim and pray 5x a day and believe in islam allah and all the prophets and read the quran then finish it then you can marry you but you cant take his money and divorce him that is not allowed to . ALL CHRISTIANS AROUND THE WORLD TURN TO MUSLIM BUT U CANT DATE SRRY
