No. Probably not. Why? Working for a salary for a big company will rarely make one rich. You will earn a good wage and if you save your money might be able to retire comfortably in 40 years or so. But if you want to make big money you have to take big risks where you can lose everything. You have to look for opportunities where the income can scale far beyond the hours that you work. Like a start up in the aerospace field that you can get stock options or part ownership of the company. If the company is successful, your options will be worth a fortune, if not you will be looking for a new job. It won’t be big company safe and will be highly stressful, but this is how to hit it really big.

Sounds pretty ambitious. Really, you can become a millionaire selling rocks if you are driven enough. I’d advise you to not go into engineering for the money or you’ll be disappointed. And really, why do you want to be a millionaire? If you do that, then you may regret a lot of your life. Becoming a millionaire requires a lot of work. At the same time, I’ve never heard anyone lay on their deathbed and say that they wished they would have worked more throughout their life.

No. However, you could start your own company and easily become a multimillionaire. Or go broke trying!

You may earn a $M over you career although probably not in any given year unless you are the CEO.
