It’s sad. But I suppose it’s a lot better than getting drunk and taking a stranger home and doing it for nothing – like many do. There isn’t really much difference between her and those women who only date or marry rich men. We live in a money obsessed world. Just think, she will never have to work again a day in her life. Not bad for one night. The £5 million will definitely help to ease her conscience. lol
I don’t think it is a good idea but I do understand that for some people, sex is just sex. It does not have to “mean” anything emotionally. She saw this opportunity to make the money for school and took it all the way. She “…planned the virginity auction to raise enough funds for a masters course in Family and Marriage therapy.” I am sure there are plenty of socially acceptable ways of going about raising the funds like WORKING or scholarships etc. I think that whoever wins or won this auction will be disappointed in the end. One night with this stranger will not seem worth the 5+ million spent. Whatever; she’s a female hustler, can’t hate on that! haha
I think she is a very smart girl and absolutely fair play to her for doing this!! People are smuggled via the sex trade for men to take their virginity, and they don’t see a penny of it! So I think this is a brilliant alternative!!
Losing my virginity was a horrible affair, I don’t know the guy now, I don’t wish to know him, and I don’t wish to remember it. If I was now financially settled for life because of it, then I would think of it as a more positive experience!
Of course some people prize virginity quite highly and that’s fine, no one is asking them to sell it to the highest bidder. BUT, if you’re not overly fussed about it, and will not live to regret it, then I think it’s a great idea and I’m just peeved that I didn’t think of it, instead of giving it up to the first silly school boy who paid me a bit of attention!
I would be sooooo scared actually going through with it though! Men who want a virgin actually scare me a bit….but she’s 22, not 16, so I’m more comfortable with that, but it would still be a very scary night for me!!!! I just hope the cheque doesn’t bounce after the deed is done!!

I don’t know what to think. I just have questions.
Firstly, is anyone really going to pay £5 million for someone else’s virginity – even if they do bid that amount online? Are such bids valid and genuine? Is anyone really going to even pay £10,000?
Secondly, how will the girl / woman feel afterwards? That’s unknown.
Thirdly, who is being abused here? Is it the girl / woman or is it the man paying for it?
Wasn’t there a 19 year old uni student in this country who did that a few years ago, the reason she was still a virgin was that she was a lesbian. She was on Richard and Judy.
Its not my place to judge her, people do odd things for money, and there are worse things she could do.
I agree with everybody else here. Sure it’s pretty important to somebody, but a regular person won’t get a dime for it…while she’s coming out a multi-millionaire because of it!
