I’m asking about the correlation between the content of the news division and their entertainment division. Their news has a conservative skew; their night time programming is all Joe Millionaire, Trading Places, American Idol, etc.
Conservatives traditionally see themselves as conserving the worthy within our culture. Fox’s entertainment division has done as much as any single entity to dilute dumb down and bastardize said culture.
I want the how and why this is so, and how conservatives feel about FOX’s entertainment division. Also, how they might reconcile loving their news, and hating their entertainment.

I’m conservative. I solve this problem by hardly ever watching TV. It’s all crap and there are a lot of better things to do with my time. Pretty much the only time I watch tv is when I am folding laundry or ironing.
I don’t know how these people sleep at night.
Although, singling out FOX “Entertainment” as unloading a bunch of crap as opposed to all the other *marvelous* television entertainment out there is a bit unfair, don’t you think?
Conspiracy Theory alert ! Maybe they are trying to attract stupid people, like moths to the flame, so they won’t watch their news and get informed. Sort of like a television version of Soma.
Neither the news or entertainment appears to have anything to do with reporting facts and both appear to be there to try to influence how you think and believe!!!!

there is a big difference between a fiscal conservative, and a social, or neo conservative. Fox news’ conservative leanings, i think lean more to the fiscal side. Less government, more rule of law, low taxes. I don’t really see a preachy evangelical slant in the news, so the entertainment would not have it either. just an opinion.
in the case of nbc, they are consisitantly left, both in news and programming. just depends on what you are looking for. you can find something to agree or disagree with anywhere, especially if you are one of those (seemingly millions) that look for an excuse to be offended.
I hate Fox’s entertainment division. I’m not one of the sheep that watches their endless parade of reality shows.
Fox is nothing more that Reality TV does not cost much to produce trash.
There is none – both traffic in fiction.
